What is a Pico? - up ↑
A pico is a small 16 page A7 booklet you can make yourself. Print a double sided A4, fold it, staple it and cut it.

You have to be a member to make a Pico. Subscribe here to become a member. Attention! Sometimes (o.a. with hotmail accounts) this mail ends up in the spam mailbox. So check your spambox as well. When you become a member, or subscribe to the mailing list, we use your e-mail address to inform you about the success or unsuccess of Picozine and inform you of the latest features.

I subscribed but did not receive a Pico by mail. - up ↑
We only send a few Picozines by mail. If you want to be lucky you have to let us know at freesubscribe@picozine.com. If you want be sure you can pre-subscribe for only € 10,- a year by mailing presubscribe@picozine.com
That's enough for 12 issues!

What imagefiles can I upload? - up ↑
You can only upload .jpeg .jpg .gif .png .pdf  files. If you have another image type and you change the file extension t our server will deny it. To convert the file, you must use an image editing program. If you don't have an edditing program installed you can find a lot of  image editors you can download for free.

Why can't I add text to my Pico? - up ↑
Some Pico's have a title or text added and some Picos's are only made out of pictures. Some people use an editing program to add text to their pictures. We haven' t decided yet if we want to make it possible to add text on picozine.com. There are some good online edit programs that let you add text like Picknik http://www.picnik.com for example.

Why is the picture I uploaded cropped? - up ↑
By default both the singlepage as well as the two-page spread uploadform is set to fill the page. That means that if the picture is not A7 (74 × 105 mm) for a single page or 148 x 105 mm for a spread, the picture will be cropped around the centre.
If you don't want your picture to be cropped, unclick the fillpage button.

What is a pdf? - up ↑
The Portable Document Format (PDF) is the file format created by Adobe. With adobe reader you can easily view, print, and collaborate on PDF files. PDF is reliable because it looks exactly the same on all computers, and delivers identical results on all printers. You can download the latest version of  adobe reader for free.

How do I save my Picozine? - up ↑
Your Picozine is saved while you edit it. Every picture you upload is saved on our server.

Do I need special paper to print? - up ↑
It all depends on your printer and its quality. Just experiment a little with the settings. Maybe its time to look for a new printer.

What can I do with my Pico? - up ↑
After you made your own printed and stapled Picozine, you can use it for whatever purpose you want. We are always interested in what you have done with your Pico. Send us a picture of you and your Pico and tell us what you have done with it. Maybe we report about it!
